Dear Percussionists,
I want to share information about Arizona State University and our Percussion Studio. If you’re looking for a place where you can find your voice and develop your craft, you will find a community here, all the while engaging with one of the country’s most dynamic, transformative, inclusive, accessible universities.
-Michael Compitello Associate Professor of Percussion
Our studio has a rich diversity of purpose, with students interested in performance, education, therapy, music technology, composition, arts and media engineering, and a strong culture of music minors. We are integrated into one of the most innovative and unique universities in the country, where design, community building, and inclusivity permeate our work.
Our studio is deeply integrated through our weekly studio class, where we gather for performances, masterclasses and professional development. We also meet frequently for Weekly technique class, performance class, percussion ensembles, pedagogy, repertoire, guest artist classes, and more.
