Students and guests enrolled in percussion lessons and/or using university practice, rehearsal, or performance spaces will be required to submit a percussion space usage agreement. This form will outline policies and expectations for using ASU equipment and spaces.
ASU Percussion Space Usage Contract
The contract includes:
- I agree to adhere to scheduling principles for university spaces, including practice room signouts and classroom schedules
- For all spaces, I agree that my right to use University equipment and space depends upon leaving the space in the same or better condition as it was found, putting away instruments used, removing personal positions, and tidying up. In rooms with posted
- setup diagrams or instructions, I agree to return instruments to their posted positions
- For all spaces, I agree that my right to use University equipment and space depends upon refraining from damaging university property, including (but not limited to):
- Using mallets that damage instruments
- Damaging hardware or through overtightening or other misuse
- If I am unsure, I will contact Dr. Compitello for guidance
- I agree not to move instruments between locations on campus without approval from Percussion Instrument Coordinator Caleb Hupp ([email protected]) or Dr. Compitello ([email protected])
- I agree not to move instruments off campus without approval from Percussion Instrument Coordinator Caleb Hupp ([email protected]) or Dr. Compitello ([email protected])
- When moving instruments, I agree to
- Use cases/bags for instruments and cymbals for which they exist, coordinating with Instrument Coordinator for information on location of hardware and instrument cases
- If no cases exist, package instruments with blankets and use carts in transport
- I acknowledge that there will be disruptions to stated instrument availability due to percussion-area events.
